Principal, KPRIET“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to transform, nurture and transform –Diane mariechild Dr.M.Akila Ph.D. currently serves as Principal, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology and Organizing Secretary, IGEN Nobel Laureate Lecture Series. She is actively engaged in teaching and research for the last 24 years. Her specialization and major areas of research includes Pattern Recognition, Optimization and Image Processing. She has several research articles published in National and International refereed and indexed Journals of repute with impact factor and citations. Currently 2 PhD students are actively engaged in research work under her guidance .. She has been convener of many conferences and Program Committee member for many national and international conferences. She has been reviewer for more than 5 scientific research journals. She has recently published an article titled “Empowering and nurturing Features” which has been shortlisted and her profile has been featured in the “The Academic Sights” under the special edition “India’s Top 20 Pragmatic woman Leaders in Education industry . She has held several administrative posts in her illustrious career as Controller of examinations, Chairman of Board of Studies, Member in Research Advisory Committee, Curriculum Development Committee, Governing Council, and Academic council. She is Life Member of many organizations related to Engineering. She has always been a part of empowering women in various aspects and facilitating every woman in the college with every needs which also includes the dress codes. .she has been recently got an award titled “Winner Woman in Academics” in Tamilnadu Woman Achievers Awards 2021.Under her guidance, the women Empowerment Cell functions effectively through creating awareness on health, community service, self defence , administration and entrepreneurship Having equipped herself to reach the highest position in the social ladder, she proves to be a good administrator, a responsible mother and an inspiring woman to all. Her administrative strategies and problem solving skills, makes her to be the right person to talk on "Balancing work and home - an Art".

Actor / Model“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination and hard work”. We have an enticing actress with us Pragya Nagra, who’s one of the lionized model. She’s well known for her Tamil web series “Lockdown Kaadhal” on Eruma Saani which was a super-duper hit in YouTube. She started her career as a model and appeared in more than 100 ad commercials. She made her acting debut in Tamil serial “Anjali” on Vijay TV where she had a reprising role in the sequel. She has also worked in “Karkuzhal Kanmani” an album song produced by media masons which was a smash hit. She’s all set for her silver screen debut in Lokesh Kumar’s crime thriller, titled "N4", where she plays a prominent role. Pragya also set to play a leading role in an impending rom-com movie directed by RB Chowdary. Besides modelling, she’s also an NCC cadet. She’s a Punjabi girl who loves Tamil film industry. No almosts".We are having the most zestful person Mr Pradeep Ramesh, a freestyle football player in Chennai got the certification from Guinness Book of World Records for three times.He has achieved this by most football rolls around the face in one minute is 44 which is really phenomenal.He is the first Indian to represent the country in the world finals of freestyle football and a gratifying owner of PR soccer Art Academy.He is also the winner of Red Bull Indian national freestyle football championship 2012. Some of his achievements include training some great celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh to attend football tricks. In addition to all these amazing skills he is a motivational speaker too and a youtube celebrity where he also shares information related to football. We, the Tedx KPRIET feel very exhilarated and relished to have such an interesting person with us and we assure that the session and the time that we get to share with you will be so energitic as you and every participant will get the same vibe too.
Mr.Arun Pandian
Datascientist at QpiAI"As more and more artificial intelligence is entering into the world, more and more emotional intelligence must enter into leadership" Mr.Arun Pandian, He is currently pursuing his undergraduate in Computer science and Engineering at KPRIET.He is currently working as a Data Scientist Intern at a leading AI Based Company. He is a foundry member of AI research and development team in college. As an undergraduate researcher he has also contributed to a number of Multi-disciplinary Research in collaboration with an abroad university. He researched and co -authored two research papers on computer vision in Structural engineering. He has done numerous AI Projects like COVID-19 Detector AI, Sentiment analyst and Digit recogniser and had also developed various Web applications . Apart from technical skills he has sharpened his Communication Skills by being a part of various clubs and competitions.He is currently working on Research paper in field of Applied Deep learning in Healthcare. He says that Artificial intelligence is helm of the technologies which are designing future. He will be boarding the stage of TEDxKPRIET to speak on Implications of Artificial Intelligence.

Social Activist“As we lose ourselves in the service of others, we discover our own lives and our own happiness.” Raja Murali Sethu, a great social activist from Coimbatore was a former auto driver and was unfortunate as he can’t complete his schooling. Now he runs a charitable trust,”pasiyaara soru” to support the needy. He was from a family where his mother was the sole provider for the whole big family and doesn’t want others to encounter poverty. He chose to serve people of the government hospital at Coimbatore by providing food and the basic necessities in the year 2000 even during the pandemic. He also stretches a helping hand to the students who are studying in government schools and in need of their essentials for over 11 years and helped around 1300 students.We ,team TEDxKpriet are overwhelmed to have him as a part of our event.
